2 days survived ….

Posted in News at 5:20 pm by Mags

94 days ….

Things don’t change in the heady world of hedukashun!
All the little ‘dahlins’ are still little ‘dahlins’ and absence certainly hasn’t made the heart grow fonder …
(note to Mrs Bits … am pointing to my chest as I write this!! :-) )

Its cold and dark and miserable – and I’ve developed a burning throat and a runny nose … already!! :-\

Still its another day nearer April and the bid to get Cindy as much bread sauce mix as Murray can carry ;-)

Life (as Mr Ronan Keating once sang) certainly has been a ‘roller coaster’ over the last 48 hours … but as someone once said (Was it you Mrs Bits?) ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’ …. think I’m about gold medal weightlifting standard by now!!! :-\

In the world beyond ‘April’ it seems the curse of the JJB affecting the Warriors continues … Get Well Soon Bryan Fletcher and Hocky !
See if I’d been made head coach instead of THAT MAN things would be very different ;-)

Despite all good intentions probably won’t add anything til after the weekend now due to family commitments … but don’t let that stop you dear readers from adding your fivepenn’orth worth … :-D

For those not living in Rugby and that would like to check out local weather conditions, have a look at this site. This page also has a webcam pointed at the Draycote Reservoir, which is not far from Rugby, so you can see what sort of weather Mags is enduring!

For those not in Rugby today it is snowing and cold. Those of you elsewhere Doris ( that name is a fun thing between Mags and myself, Murray) a drunken moment i hastened to add.

Not that we drink very much nowadays , well i don’t : P

Just would like to say i wish April would come a bit quicker and then i would have a calm Miss D, I am at the stage of nodding and pointing to a certain part of my body but bless, a very happy Mags thats all that matters.

And yes I can’t wait either.

More snow! Poor Mags will need someone to keep her warm…

I asked Mags about “Doris”, but she won’t tell me until I get there in April. Maybe she thinks the story will scare me off?

I’m looking forward to meeting you all!

For those interested in knowing how many days remain until I bless your fair shores, have a look at the Official Mags / Murray Countdown Timer

Awww Murray – love the countdown!! Hard to buy for? Me?? I’m the easiest person in the world to buy pressies for!! I must admit – you’ve done very well in the pressie department the last couple of years!

Mags, has Murray told you I’ve taken up diving? Started my course last weekend (it only takes 2 weekends…) – this Saturday and Sunday it’s up to the beautiful marine reserve Goat Island for my first dive in the sea! So looking forward to it! I went out and bought a fantastic BCD, regulator and computer (tells you interesting stuff like when you’ve been down too long and are running out of air or are at risk of decompression sickness…).

Oh, I meant to tell you the other day – the vegie bill will be cheap while Murray’s over – his list of acceptable veg is (notice I didn’t say “includes” because this is the definitive list): potatoes, peas, corn, onion, lettuce, tomatoes, gerkins… and carrots at a pinch. On second thoughts, forget I told you that, and prepare a beautiful meal consisting of such exotic vegies as brocoli, cauliflower, mushrooms and pumpkin – he’ll be so keen to not upset you, he might even discover they taste good!!! I love you Murray!!

PS: We Moffatt’s love to tease each other – it’s always meant in good humour!

    As I’m a fully paid up veggie he’ll get what he’s given …. ;-)
But no pumpkins or parsnips (the devils vegetable!!!!)

You sure that clock isn’t running slow M? I’m sure it should be April by now!!!!
    ;-)
not that I’m impatient or anything ….

You’re a braver woman than me Cindy diving … but I bet its really exciting!?

My biggest excitement at the mo (besides the impending visit) is getting work out of my luvvie dahlings who are all still on holiday in their heads ….
