Day 21 Penguins … almost
We started the day by visiting Riccarton Market (a bit like Wellsbourne those of you who know it) then headed into Christchurch itself – parts of it are very 
like where the River Avon flows through the middle of it …
Had surreal experience outside of cathedral where a busker singing in quite a choral style was actually singing “Hey hey we’re the Monkees”!!
From here we drove to Sumner – another beautiful beach and houses built right up a cliff face – would need to win the Lotto to live there tho 
Far too soon it was time to head back to the airport in Christchurch – but there was time for one little side track …
Next to the airport is the big Antartica centre … and you all know what lives on Antartica that I lurve 
Sadly didn’t have enough time to go round the centre 
but did have time to visit the gift shop! 
Met a rather nice penguin there who would have loved a trip to Rugby I’m sure 
but would have needed his own seat booking to get there
Then it was bye byes 
Loved meeting Craig and Sam 
On the plane back to Auckland – I did manage to get some great shots out of the window of the Southern Alps as we flew over …
but we landed in an absolute downpour in Auckland
