Day 5 Here comes the rain again …
Woke to a very rain soaked Rotorua – it was chucking it down a la home 
M’s car has a leak on the passenger side 
so we didn’t venture far in it ….
We went to the Rotorua Museum and had a great tour of the place first with a very lovely lady guide who was very interesting to listen to and then by ourselves to look at somethings again … it houses Maori and European historical displays
The building the museum is in has a very interesting history – it was built as a spa bath house in the 18oo’s to a German design known as The Great South Seas Spa for people to come to be cured of rhuematic and arthritic conditions … its also been a night club !! The building design earned it the name Tudor Towers.

Next to this was a building called the Blue Baths which used to be the local swimming pool but is now a museum and suave restaurant too (we didn’t eat there … couldn’t even persuade M to give me a twirl across the dance floor to the lovely music that was playing – had a real art deco feel to the place )
And the rain just carried on ….
