We’ve been done over!
75 Days to go ….
Got to hh this morning to find we’d been relieved of our computers and data projectors over the weekend … ![]()
They obviously knew what they wanted – and how to get it … its a bit of a pain cos I liked my big screen but at least I know how to teach without it … unlike certain quarters … :?
Was expecting Gill Grissom or the ‘Incredible Acting Sunglasses’ (TM) to come and dust down the scene – but our SOCCO (rather than CSI) looked like he’d wandered in off a building site … where was the glamour of Warwick ????? ![]()
I think I can now tick off every experience one can have in the heady world of school … ![]()

Have you ever had a student (30 odd year old man) go nuts and say he didn’t want to learn what you were teaching, and that the other students were talking about him behind his back, and then he had to be restrained by another student while you called the cops?
Marg and I have had this happen to us at one of our Community Ed courses that we used to teach. We think he’d forgotten to take his meds that day…

We trading teaching stories then?

In my job I am ‘the cops’
As I don’t teach 30 year olds I haven’t had that one – but I have dealt with irrate parents :? and had chairs (and once a table) thrown at me by various 11year olds :x … and I think had every swear word on the planet directed at me …
Good job I’ve got broad shoulders…
Job swap any one????

Ok, you win!
I think it would be harder to teach kids than adults, especially the kids these days. In my day… (no, I won’t start talking like that)

Off subject, but Mags, being the prick that I am, I just had to say Wigan are doing great, shame its the wrong code! Go Wigan Athletic!
Wigan Warriors — Gawd —- they are a joke, couldn’t fight their way out of a paper bag! So much for being “warriors”! hehehehehe Grumpy Del had invaded the calm of this lovely blog!;)
No really, just HAD to wind you up a bit. I’m good at that, just ask Marg!
Looking forward to our visit and I PROMISE to try and smile lots – unless of course Pat says something horrible about our lesbian prime minister…. Shre really is a man in disguise.
I’m off to bed! :-)

Welcome Mr D … sorry for the delay – had to checkout your credentials …
and inspite of what I found decided to take pity on an old soul :P
!!!
Hope you are going to be a good boy and not upset the good karma round these part or not only will you be recieving a ‘Miss D Paddington Hard Stare’ TM come July but will also run the risk of incurring the wrath of Mrs R
Am totally gob smacked that you have even heard about the round ball game
… but then it does go some way to explain why you obviously have no understanding of the the oval game for 13 …. :P and proper teams … ;)
Keep it clean – no biting, gouging or scratching and you may just survive …
